    Hey guys,

Just getting in this golfing lark and want to pick myself up a cheap set. Drawn to Wilson for some reason. However I am completely lost as to what each of the following sets offer over one another:

Wilson X31 - 2010 model available for £185 on Amazon

Wilson Prostaff LCG - 2011 model for £229

    Wilson Prostaff MOI - £239

    Wilson Profile Hybrid - £189

For some reason I'm drawn to the LCG's, but have no idea why.

    Hey,

Bumping this because I have spent the last while researching decent start-up sets (ones that will hopefully last we awhile if I start to play more often as the hurlin career comes to an end!) and ended up looking at the exact same sets as the OP listed above, and on the same site too. I would be going for the 1" longer options that are available for some of these Wilson sets (I am 6'5").

Does anyone know the order of Wilson clubs - i.e. from premium to basic?
The only thing I am going on is the price, assuming that the more expensive sets are probably the better ones!

I am leaning towards one of these:
    Wilson Prostaff MOI - £239

    Wilson Profile Hybrid - £189

Mainly because they are available in the 1" longer set. Are the prostaff worth the extra?

    Thanks in advance :)

My advice - go and find out where you can see some of these clubs in the flesh. If the main golf stores don't stock them then phone Wlson to find out who will have them.

Chances are you're not going to get to hit them so if you can see them, you can see which you like best. There's very little in the price diff so your personal preference should win over.

There is a good review site called golfreview.com so they may be on there also.

    Thanks for the response Kace.

I think I'll hit a few golf shops on Saturday. The internet is a bit of a mine-field for newbies when it comes to researching all the different types of clubs!
I'll check out that review site in the mean time.
    Cheers :)
