Former Lost co-executive producer David Fury is joining the upcoming season of Fox's Fringe as writer/consulting producer, reuniting with Lost creator/executive producer J.J. Abrams who executive produces Fringe. In addition to his work on the first season of Lost, Fury is also known for his work on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spinoff Angel. He most recently served as writing executive producer on the pilot for Fox's Terra Nova until his departure in September over creative differences.

This is very good news. I don't know what his stewardship of 24 was like, but he wrote some of Lost's best episodes - Solitary, Walkabout and Numbers. He left during the first season unfortunately. Fringe could do with some decent writers right now.

Could be good news alright. It says he came in for Season 5 of 24 and stayed until it was cancelled. S5 is widely regarded as probably the best season so it looks promising for Fringe!

Yeah, he certainly knows how to write compelling TV. Wasn't a fan of 24, but did hear that Season 5 was good.

I do know his work on Lost though and it was good stuff.
