I need to replace a rear wheel bearing on my 1998 Fiat Ducato Maxi chassis camper. Does anyone have the torque setting for the retaining nut please

    Thanks

I assume you've drums , with taper bearings? In that case , it' more of a subjective thing IMHO than a torque setting , the old fashioned way was tighten til the "rock went out of the wheel , then a quarter turn more . I do mine by "feel" , and have never had any problems (and I've set hundreds...) . The main thing is that they're not TOO tight .

Thanks Aidan M M, thats great. Yes it is drums, thought I might need a very beefy torque wrench for the job.
