Did a Down player fight in a MMA fight ?

    I remember vagely hearing that some player for Down fought in some Mixed Martial Arts fight, Cage Contenders or something. Anyone know ?

    Fair play to him. I'm a fan of MMA and GAA, two excellent sports. Kieran McGeeny trains in BJJ I believe, a martial art that nearly all MMA fighters use as part of their training programme.

    That's how he got the better of all the Aussie lads that tried to wrestle with him in the International rules 2006. He came out on top all the time.
