Cancelling sky then getting it again

Hi everyone just want to get your 2 cents on this idea I have. So we currently have sky+ in the main room and a stranded box in the other room.

Now im having an issue with the sky+ box, error 25 "no satellite signal being received" I have rested the LNB on the box and checked the cables but issue is still ongoing. Sky want €100 to send an engineer out which isn't going to happen.

I came up with the idea of if I cancel everything, then set it up again in my girlfriends name. I get them to add a new box upstairs for free(they wanted €170ish). So we'll say that's the main box, and then get multiroom downstairs using the existing boxes and cabling. Then they would have to fix any cabling issues for free or if it was a box issue I could use the new box from them.

So I end up with the issue being fixed and having a new room wired up.

Hope I made some sort of sense :D Whats the general vibe of the idea?

There are hundreds of threads on this same topic.

They might send out a guy for free if you ring up to cancel.
