Wouldnt it be cool if we had a 200 mile relay like the one thats in the book.

Basically each team has 11 people and a crew in a Van. Start off at a certain location and each person covers 5 miles and then rests in the van. The race keeps going thru the night and into the next day till you hit the destination thats 200 miles away and then have a big party:)

Sounds a little like the Malin to Mizen relay, Raheny Shamrock AC recently completed, or the 1x1 relay team of HunnyMonster on the same route!

A lot of clubs use to do these years ago. I know ours ran from Galway to Dublin on a few occasions.

There's the Race Around Ireland in the biking world.

There could be room for some sort of similarly looney running challenge. Big fear for me would be tired runners on the roads at night. That said we got through the RAI last year without running anyone off the road, I think.
