    If anyone's thinking of picking a pair of Ray Bans on Adverts.ie here's a few signs of what to look out for on a genuine pair as there a some great looking fakes appearing in nice shiny boxes with all the trimmings. Never be afraid to take the sunglasses out and give them a quick look.

    The left arm holds most of what you're looking for;

    RB followed by 4 digits. ie RB 3421, these digits are the model. The next set of numbers are the frame's colour code, ie 006/71. The next set of numbers are the frame and lens size, ie; 65 17 (these sets of numbers are separated by a small box)

    Inside on the left lens at the hinge RB with be etched into the glass. Another sign that they are real is the plastic nose pads; RB will be stamped into the silver clasps that hold them in place. Also look on the bridge itself, the frame and lens numbers should be there too.

    Am I missing something, or how do you know whether they're genuine or not if they're on adverts.ie?:confused:

    Yes. I went to pick up a pair this morning but they were fake. I always buy off Adverts face to face.
