People have to be more vigilant, I've said it before on here but I just heard of another frightening story. A fella selling his Primera was asking by the buyer to meet them half way, he seller obliged and met them. Upon arrival 3 men got out of a van and beat the seller up and stole the car.

People have to remember if something doesn't feel right just get into your car (or don't even get out of it in the first place) and drive away. I know we have to have some bit of trust to be able to sell a car but always meet in a public place and preferably in daylight hours.

From what I heard he actually met him on the lay by of a motorway, not a smart place to meet at all!

Happens a lot with off-road bikes and quads (because they don't have to be registered to anyone). They can then be brought up north and sold on.

This primera was either ringed or somebody badly wanted an engine for one.

jaysus, that story on octane is just as mad, just hops into the car and off he goes! you'd want to have some balls!
i know this is no consolation but you can now get car gps trackers for approx €40 you simply put a sim card in and text the number and it replies with the co-ordinates, tempted to get one myself, believe you can get real time updates aswell on them

this sounds great, if a little too good to be true.
