looking for a suggestion that serves all of the above.
    quality food & relaxed atmosphere.
would prefer a pub but there food is usually **** so a chilled restaraunt might be more in order.

dublin 1 or 2, but maybe outside of temple bar.
ive heard of elephant & castle but the rest of their menu looks a bit pretentious so not sure if it will meet the relaxed part

    any suggestion?

E&C are pretty known for their wings (one of the few places that does real US style wings). It's far from pretentious.

i would call it boisterous and energetic, it's not quiet. it's not snobby or pretentious.

Well if I'd a spare Thursday night going I'd head into Darkey Kellys on Fishamble St. for their free BBQ - wings, ribs & burgers!.

Ye that's where the Bull and Castle is. Never had wings or ribs but the food in there is lovely. Think I remember my mate having ribs before and they looked fantastic, how they tasted is another story mind you.

Across the road from the Bull & Castle, opposite the Dublin Corpo place.

Free BBQ and drinks promo's every Thursday, from eight I think.
