Anyone else feel like theres been a bereavement in the family after exercising hard. I could be in the best form all day but after a workout I feel sad for no reason. This isnt any medical or advice thread, just curious if anyone gets the same thing. Exercise is supposed to release endorphins and boost serotonin.

I always feel much better afterward, even though I'd be wrecked tired.

Have a **** instead. Gets the heart pumping and you feel good afterwards.

Ditto for me hence I stopped many many years ago. I never got the endorphin buzz and I used to do a lot of exercise.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I only ever feel good after a swim or a good ride. Any other exercise makes me feel like ****.

No, I feel the opposite. Wrecked, but really really good.
    Doesn't it release endorphins??

it does during it but once you stop you get a bit of a mild downer, a bit like taking simple sugars, you get quick energy followed by a short slump when it quickly wears off.

This is all you need to know

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Its the opposite for me, pretty sure most people feel a little destressed after exercise

The complete opposite, try and work out at least five days a week, sometimes it might be four, but any less and I feel guilty, which is probably not a good thing.

I feel much better with myself knowing I've trained.

Maybe try find something you like doing? I train in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) and BJJ (Brazillian JiuJitsu) and it's a brilliant buzz. I'd be looking forward to it all day in work, enjoy it at the time and then feel great afterwards.

If I don't train I feel lazy, unmotivated etc - feels like something is missing.

That's weird, I've never heard of that slump.

I live for it...I love that nicely tired but happy feeling.

I'm the complete opposite. I always feel great after a run and have a sense of accomplishment and surprisingly I also feel a bit invigorated.

I might feel tired after a football match and my mood will depend on how the game and my own performance went.

Would you feel the same way if you went for a jog or is it only after kickboxing?

    Any strenuous exercise.

Do you know what happens to people that exercise?

They get injured. And generally you end of up with one niggiling ache that stays with you for years.

Stay in your couch and eat crap, you'll be better off.

See a doctor, could be hypoglycemia brought on by exercising and there could be a simple reason for that. Could even be circulatory, best to get checked out as throughly as you can afford, least that way you will know for sure. Get second and third opinions if you are not happy and feel something is not quite right.
