Good luck with the test! Hopefully it passes and will have a long test which surely will help selling it!
...being way-more-than-10yrs old, it'll only get a 12mth test anyhoo........I think it's coming to EOL anyhoo at this rate. The way things are going, I'd get more by breaking it than selling it.

When was the test due? If the test was due on 29th of May (or up to 90 days after that), the car would get the full 2 years NCT (plus up to 90 days more)
Only if the test was out of date, it won't get the 2 years NCT. It will only get a 12mth test if it was out of date a full year!!!
