I am thinking of buying a kitchen at Homebase. It will be inexpensive at just under €2,000 but I would appreciate feedback from anybody who has bought fitted kitchens at Homebase as to quality, customer service, standard of fit-out etc. I live in the Midlands so would be dealing with Homebase in Portlaoise.

i fitted a homebase kitchen for a customer in mounthrath, i couldnt fault the kitchen , i worked in alot of kitchen companys and nowdays flat pack are as gud a standard, only thing i would say is i didnt use most of the fittings supplied i used my own (screws, hinges) there fittings wouldnt be 100percent, if your walls are off a little it can get tricky so make sure wall units are well put together, i know two guys in homebase kitchens dep, sound nice guys , best of luck wit kitchenicon7.gif

I've fitted two of them. One in my own house, and one in a student house. Can't fault them really. They're good for the price they cost. That said, I would use my own screws and wall fixings etc......

Over both installations, only one of the bottom carcasses was damaged and it was only at the back, so not visible.

I was in Rite Price Kicthens (in Athlone) yesterday and they seemed good value too, not a huge range to be honest but had all the popular ranges and very reasonable, i was quoted approx 4k for a 4m x 4m room with island (not inc appliances or worktops)

Did anyone use Homebase for kitchens recently? I priced up about 6 suppliers and Homebase came in the most cost-effective, even including appliances, and now are running a 20% off promotion.
