    just bought this on ebay

    Shturm2_gal.jpgShturm2_3.jpg
    Shturm2_5.jpgShturm2_4.jpg

    for my wife  :D

(don't ask ...something to to with our green ex army van and matching camouflage clothes)

Anyhow ...its a Slava "Spetzsnaz" Sturm, Slava 2414 handwind movement, diameter 36 mm and cost 40 odd delivered (if it ever arrives)

I'll let you know what it really looks like once it arrives.

(Interesting factoid about the 2414 movement ...it has two mainsprings!)

The Spetsnaz arrived today in the post, and a cute little thing it is :D

    161017.jpg

Overall pretty decent quality. Cheap, yes ...but not flimsy and no obvious faults or defects

You even get a marked crown
    161019.jpg

nice view of the tic-toc bits
    161020.jpg

the packaging is a scream :D (Spetsnaz are the Russian equivalent of the Navy Seals)
    161021.jpg

and while at 36 mm it's definitely too dinky for a manly wrist, it fits my wife perfectly (altough the strap will need a few extra holes)
    161022.JPG

Overall I'm very pleased and happy with it ...and more importantly ...so is my wife

P how much does one of these cost? I have people visiting from Moscow in August. Might get them to bring one of these back. This looks very nice BTW.

Here is the Spetsnaz website: http://specnaz.su/catalog/

Some weird and wonderful creations on there :D, but the green "Wtypm" isn't listed anymore and most other models seem to be quarz

What do you think of this one? It's mechanical as the Russians say LOL.

    About €180.00

better pics here http://www.m-watches.com/catalog/aeronavigator-moscow-classic-automatik-241604031003-p-233.html?cPath=26_34 and almost identical price.

Upgraded Vostok movement (blued screws and all), same as my VE Rocket N1 ...should be pretty accurate

It's a bit big at 47 mm diameter :D (the Russian page says 44 mm, I think the 47mm is a typo. The 47 mm ones have Molinyia movements)

Personally, if I were to go for a Moscow Classic for the 200 Euro mark, I could be tempted by this one:

They have some lovely chronos as well, but then we're talking north of 300

I haven't bought from them yet, but they do get positive mentions on some forums ...haven't heard anything bad about them yet.

Cool. I'm going to see if my relatives in Moscow can get this there first. If not I'll try this website. Great price for an automatic.
