Checking in with Aer Lingus Flights

    Hi,

I usually fly with Ryanair so not too familiar with Aer Lingus.

My Dad is flying Dublin to Cardiff tomorrow morning, can he check in at the airport at one of those kiosks, instead of having to do it online tonight/tomorrow?

If so does he just need to scan his passport/enter the booking reference?

    Thanks in advance

Yea, he just needs to scan the barcode in his passport on one of the machines to book in. The machine will then print out his boarding pass. Sometimes it will ask you to enter the booking reference either. It's very easy to follow.

Since that question was answered I hope you dont mind me butting in with one of my own ! I am flying to Thailand via Heathrow next month. Im with Aer Lingus to Heathrow and then Qantas to Bangkok. It was booked on the one booking through ebookers.

Am I able to check my bags in at Dublin and collect them in Bangkok without collecting them in Heathrow? Do I just have to ask them to do that when I check in or what way does it work?.

Yes, your bags should go straight through. You shouldn't even need to tell them as they'll see your destination and all other booking information when they are checking you in.
