Hi its my mothers 50th birthday soon and as part as her gift me and my siblings were thinking of getting her and my dad a hotel break.. They live in the west so maybe somewhere in south east or the north or not sure really! Their not into golf but wouldnt mind spa/leisure facilities.. nice surroundings but maybe near a town to do a bit of shopping too!! Any ideas of any nice Hotel or area would be great Thanks! (a good deal would be great too!!) :)

Whats your budget ? the Sheraton Fota near Cobh which is ten mins from Cork City.I know I was talking about the price of 5 star but I know they arent too dear.
How about somewhere on the ring of Kerry ? Sneem have a lovely hotel does deals has good food and the scenery dwon there is unreal.
I mentioned some in KIllarney in the other thread if you want to have a look.
Waterford city/town has loads of hotel deals and I read recently that it is the cheapest place to stay in Ireland.Shopping there is awesome and you can drive to dungarven which is nice too.
Have you tried the Supervalu breaks ,I used them a good bit ,good value and you get a meal too.
Plus AXA if you ar with them have fantastic deals.
Clare is beautiful but they might have seen all that already .
The Metropole in Cork City is doing 3 bb and 1 dinner for 170 each (i think)
Its central if thats what they want but not scenic being in the city.
West cork is beautiful this time of year ,maybe Clonakilty ? Its a nice town ,has good few hotels ,is near loads of beaches and has some nice shops.I actually think if they have never been to Clon before they would love it .Its a friendly warm town with great pubs too.Plus its not that far from the city and is scenic also.
Just google hotels there and you will see there are 2.3 and 4 star available
