Is it a different format to the BBC version?

The latest UK season was pretty similar to the Aussie version (weekly challenges, one person eliminated per week until there were only a few left for the finale).

The Aussie version is longer though (it ran for over 10 weeks, 6 times a week).

Like many good formats its relying to heavily on the Reality format i.e. Voting out of competitors by competitors rather than by professionals, and the chit-chat, Suvivor US also has this problem, they do one task and then spend the rest of the show bitchin' when they could have another task. :( hope the Irish version is more like the UK one.

The Irish promo showed clips of the Aussie version (possibly because they had just bought it, but more likely because they're going to mimic it).

I think the UK version that we all know and love is gone. :(
