Has anyone ever worked with any funbdraisng firms.

There are loads of ads on jobs.ie about them.

One could claim it's marketing with commisions but some of these fundraising comopanies state that they pay a basic weekly wage plus commissions.

    Feedback Wanted

    Thanks

All information from previous threads indicates that only those meeting sales targets get a basic wage - otherwise its commission only.
Failure to meet targets = get the boot !

I know someone who did it for a brief period - she said it was a pure shyte job and never again.

Most sales roles discussed by members on boards here are comissioned based only.

How are the targets set weekly or monthly ?

    Thanks for the repliy.

Only do this if you're willing to sell your soul and self respect (Flashmobbing old country ladies up for their bi-annual linen shopping in Arnotts etc.) and if you're willing to maintain the illusion that you're volunteering (Most gullible old women assume you aren't getting remuneration)

I think chuggers give charitable organisations a bad name, and in the long run reduce contributions because people like myself will in principle refuse to participate in this immoral practise of paying people to organise funds for charities. I regularly make personal private donations to charities from my meager incomes, I think these tactics are an utter disgrace and I hate the way that chuggers target the vulnerable and the gullible.

I think the most objectionable ploy is to set up just outside the Post Office when people are collecting their benefits - FFS these people have little enough money without ' Chuggers ' targetting them ( collectors for the Hanley Centre seem to be especially bad for this ).

I chugged for a few months - great craic at times - though soul destroying at other times

total fundraiser have minimum wage then when you hit targets your pay rises
    Concern have 13e/h

you're giving weekly targets - you'll soon realize if your good at the job or not and if you dont hit targets good chance you'll be sacked -

Also people want to sign up so your not forcing anything on anybody -

you just stop people, tell them about the charity - hope they sign up!

I think I'll do this even though it's for a week only.

Atleast I'll get a bit if cash for that week.

Must I be placed in the city centre because most if the chuggers* as are mostly there.

    * why are they called chuggers ?
