You could pop along to meetings or events. You could try and find someone in the club/soc who could point you to whoever to talk to to join you up. Or go into the SPC and ask someone in there.

I'm just wondering if there is a DJ society?

    thanks

You have to rejoin the clubs/societies you want to be part of every year so it's not at all like if you don't sign up in first year you're out. You can join any of them on the Clubs & Socs days at the start of every semester, usually week 2, or just call up to the Clubs & Socs offices (upstairs in the Hub at the gym end of the building) to sign up any time of the year.

Just going to add that when you go in to the clubs and socs office you want to keep walking straight and go to the desk at the end or the room.
Often society people hang around on the couches in there and people get confused, thinking they work there.

Pretty sure there is, or at least one of the societies is doing DJing stuff, there's a Musicsoc and Media Production society (Best Society in the country 2011 etc.) too.

There's a list here, but that includes tons that aren't in any way active (possibly some that no longer exist) and doesn't include some of the new ones (Physics soc got approved but aren't there for example).

OP, you can join Clubs or Socs pretty much whenever. You have to rejoin every year though. As jennyq pointed out, Clubs & Socs day is the easiest way to do this. However, there's certainly very little point in trying to join until next semester begins.

Dylanmc111, there is a DJ Society that set up this year, they'll be fully up and running on Clubs & Socs Day in October and you can join then.

    Hey Dylan,
There is a DJ society in DCU which also caters for music producers, my twin brother is the chairman! His name's Sean so give him a shout!
    Cheers,
    Ryan
