Too late to apply for a course this year?

    Have i left it too late? Only recently thought about attending University but i feel i might be a bit late. Im a mature student so im not sure if the dates are different. Any advice would be great

    I think all the interviews have been completed by this stage. Best thing to do is call DCU. As regards the CAO you could be out of luck but I would call them anyway. There are private fee paying 3rd level institutes that do not require CAO applications for certain courses. They could be your best bet.

    If iv left it too late then im not too worried i can still apply next year. It most likely for the best, id only be rushing into things plus id wont to apply for a grant and BTEA so i reckon next year is best. When can you apply for the next term?

    Yes unfortunately it is, usually applications should be made by 1 February, some circumstances allow for late applications by 1 May. Perhaps use the year and do a FETAC course in a PLC College or IT in the area you would like to study in university, this will assist your application and give you an indication of whether you enjoy the subject area.
