It has a 70s regd so it was imported?

It was imported into Ireland in '73.
It was owned for many years by Dick Lovell-Butt, a well known racing driver. He was a friend of my grandfathers.

That DB2/4 is a lovely original car and I hope that who ever buys it gives it a sympathetic recommisioning rather than a complete restoration.
It would be great if it came back to Ireland but it is extremely unlikely.

It is also worth noting that it isnt the only Irish based Aston Martin that is in that auction. A sign of the times I suppose.

I wont be attending the auction but I'll be keeping an eye on it.
