    Hi,
I might be a position where I am lucky enough to have more than one job offer.

    Let me explain.

    Applied to three companies A, B, C.

Company A - have said they are keen and want to complete things quickly
    Company B - completed 2nd interview
Company C - have to do second interview this week

Basically, I need to get some thinking time. Company A want things done and dusted but C could make a better offer.

any advice appreciated? What do I say to Company A to let them know I am enthusiastic but at the same time to get some reasonable amount of thinking time to see how Company C go and if they come up with anything.

Again, I appreciate I am very lucky here ( I actually have a job at the moment as well). But I really need thinking time here got burnt in the property boom like half the country and have a family to look after

    Thanks a mill.

If you are happy with company A and they offer then accept.

If Company B/C are better and make an offer in the future then leave company A and join B/C.

Don't feel bad about leaving Company A even after just 1 week. It happens, its no big deal.

    Congratulations Effective,

You seem to be a dab hand at the interviews, well done and it's great to see someone having some good fortune in the jobs market.

As you're in a job, you'll have to offer some notice to your current employer.

I was in a similar situation as you some years ago.

Went for an interview with Company A, got offered a position and accepted. Handed in my notice and agreed to go work with Company A. Hadn't signed a contract yet.

A week later, Went for an interview with company B and got offered another job with more money. Took the job with Company B and apologised to Company A.

    It happens.

So my advice, use your notice period to sound things out. Do what's best for you and your family. Don't be afraid to accept and then back out, do it politely, they'll be peeved, but that's life.

Wow you handed in your notice before signing. What made you do that?

Note I haven't changed jobs for donkey years so I am out of touch with what you do :-)
