I brought in loads of jelly sweets.. about 20 euro worth that kept them going for a week!

    A basket of muffins maybe?

A box of cupcakes might be nice - depends on how many are in the office. :P

Only bring in ' goodies ' if you want to and if you liked your colleagues. Don't feel obliged to spend money on people you may not really care for.

What you bring in or even if you bring anything in at all depends on 3 things:

    (1) Office Tradition.
    (2) Your own personal work relationships
    (3) If you are trying to maintain a network.

Some tips for network building: (If desired)
    • Before you leave speak with each person, thank them for their support during your time etc.
    • Provide them with contact details, hard-copy or by email, often the only way colleagues can contact you is through work phone or email.
    • Set communications expectations, "I'll drop in sometime" or " I call you for a pint once I'm settled in" or "Give me a call if you have any questions"...etc.
    • Make sure the door is at least ajar for a possible return.
    • Check who you can use as a referee if required.
