    Hi all,
I have a tricity bendix aw1001 w and im having problems with it the last few weeks. If i put it on any cycle hotter than 30 degrees it pauses during the cycle and the door is too hot to touch. i have to put it on a colder cycle to finish it and be able to open the door. Could this be a serious problem or something i could have a go at fixing myself?

thanks in advance for any replies!

sounds like the thermostat could be gone but it maybe a program timer fault. if i had to make a bet i'd bet on the thermostat.
but if your interested and in Dublin. i'm getting a washing machine next week to bring to the recycling center. you can have that for free if you want. it's a basic models about 10 years old but it's still working perfectly.

Easy enough changed if it is the stat, i agree with praytec, it could be a program fault.
Tilt machine back and the stat will be visible, small black case with 4 or 5 wires attached, it is pushed into a grommit and easy removed, you will need to use a sealer fitting the new one.

    Good luck.
