Google Earth Locking Up

My Google Earth has started to lock up when I first open it and start to zoom in, after about 4 tries it will work, any ideas? is anyone else having this problem?

Try switching between OpenGL and Direct3D to see if it makes any difference. I'm not sure why that would be happening though!

Possibly try updating your video card drivers if all else fails.
