Have gotten sick of my blonde highlighted hair (my hair grows so fast my roots are ridiculous looking im nearly having to get my hair done every 4 wks) I'm a natural brunette (medium darkish) is there any way for me to dye it myself at home instead of going to the hairdressers just back from hols so am a bit strapped for cash
So want my glossy brown locks back

Don't chance it! I tried to get rid of my highlights a few months ago. Went to the hairdressers and had to get a precolour and brown colour. After a few washes it looked greenish and I had to go back again for another precolour. It took five dyes until the green tint stopped coming through.

Getting rid of highlights is a nightmare. Even with a hairdresser doing it! From my own experience, my advice would be to get the darkest highlights you can before you start trying to go back brown. That way when the brown colour fades it won't be as obvious. Also get a really good shampoo and conditioner. All that colouring is going to cause some serious damage!

I'm in the exact same situation - I don't have all over blonde but I've had plenty of high and low lights over the past few years to acheive a Jennifer Aniston-esk type colouring where it is still light brown with the fine blone highlights running through it...

I'm getting married next year and want rid of the blond to go back to a colour similar to may natural haircolour. I'd be going for a chestnut brown to achieve that nice shine!:D but want to save money by doing it myself either now or later on when it's more acheivable....

Friends of mine have gone to Salon services and have got a semi permanent colour and done it themselves from similar situation and they had no issues. I'm considering following suit this week....

Have you dyed youre yet or did you go Professional?
I've a wedding in Spain in 3 weeks and don't want to look hideous/ green for it!
