Please help! I started running in Jan this yr,and by following an online plan it has been going pretty well.I ran my first 10k in April but got a very heavy cold after it.I couldn't train for over a week! I ran my second at the start of May and as yet have not been able to train for the same reason.I went to my GP yest who said that there's nothing to do but ride it out and that I risk heart issues if I return to training too soon!!! I really need help and advice here!I was just about getting to the point where I could start working on pace, and actually even beginning to enjoy the whole experience.

Sorry, but generic answers aren't good for specific medical issues- your GP knows best. Please see our charter regarding medical advice. <mod>
