Folk Rock/ Power Pop

Is there anyone out there in Ireland in making this particular type of music which seemed to exist up until the mid 70s bands like the Hollies, Marmalade, Badfinger and others who made melodic, harmonic pop and folk rock. These harmony bands were much more rock and roll orientated than current folk groups like Fleet Foxes etc. Pre- Saturday Night Fever Bee Gees probably fit into this category too, imaginative pop and blue eyed soul.

Is anyone else interested in this? I don't think it's being made by groups at the moment. Maybe time for a revival.

Where are you based, what age range are you looking for and what would you be bringing to the band?

20s Sth Dublin but I travel. Play guitar. I wasn't too hung up on geography or details as on similar musical tasts.

You should be. No point spending ages arranging things with someone before you discover they're from West Cork for example and age is definitely important. If you're anywhere over your mid-twenties you probably don't want to be jamming with a bunch of seventeen year olds.
