Beer has a "Best Before" date not a "Use By" date, which means that it won't do you any harm. As for taste, condition, etc. it depends on the style of the beer. Hoppier beers tend to lose their hoppiness after time, but other naturally conditioned beers tend to improve with age.

If you're just talking about the likes of Bud or Carlsberg it won't really make much difference either way.

Yea, exactly as BaZmO* said, it should be fine, wont do you any harm. Nothing patogenic can live in beer.

Give it a taste and if it tastes ok, it probably is.
