Where to get info on wax stamp seals?

My boyfriend has an antique stamp seal, possibly made of bronze. The handle has has the shape of a lady's hand on it. It looks like a Tudor rose on the top of the handle. The actual stamp contains a crest with a crown, a lion at the top and three flowers underneath (possibly roses or Fleur De Lis).

Is there anywhere to find out more on this? Does anyone know the name of a shop/ website that specialise in these items?

It is really hard to find info on the 'net without the name of the family crest.

Can post pictures if anyone wants to see it.

Please do. And if you can get some sealing wax or even candle wax it would be great to see the actual positive of the stamp as well.

Well what most people do is stamp some blue tack to display it's condition.

More photos. It is very hard to see the actual stamp- he used wax, we don't have any Blutack at the minute!

Ah right..it would appear to be spelter and not bronze which is a pity.
