Last minute sun holidays/deals..

Hi all,

I'm hoping to get away with the other half for a week in the sun in and around the end of June for as cheap as possible.

I've been looking on all the regular sites and can't find anything exceptionally cheap.

We're considering waiting until the last minute to book i.e. a day or two before we decide to go. Has anyone any experiences of doing this? If so, where would be the best places to do so i.e. online or in the shops themselves? How late is best to leave it to?

I tried doing just that over the last 2 weeks. We just wanted a week somewhere warm and for cheap before the end of May! I checked out every cheapo site, every last minute site, Thompsons etc etc etc. No joy! The only cheap deals were in awful places and 1am flights. And they weren't even that cheap.

In the end we got cheap Ryanair flights to Spain and a bit of a bargain on a holiday rental. Have a look here http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/ or http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk/ You might get lucky!

it's peak time so you will find it very hard if at all to find something cheap or lastminute
