Can someone explain to me why on earth thier allowing muppets to protest within hearing distance of the queen, and civilised people like myself are not allowed to stand and wave and welcome her to the country?

...actually, that's a good question. Perhaps because the more dissident elements of the population would then be in the crowds rather than in the protests?

That's the pity of it ,the public will be denied the right to at least see the convoy up close because of security issues ..

€7bn is worth suking up to. Left to our devices to run the country first we let the church conduct a litany of abuse on poor children and then the politcians abused their power for their friends and families and left us with a bill of €85bn.

The one thing the scum protesting today achieved was to disgrace the Irish flag. Dont these fools know what the colours of the flag stand for?

Unfortunately there are enough muppets with knowledge of semtex floating around in this country to make themselves a nuisance. Thats all they have knowledge of because they know little of the damage any such incidents would cause to this country.

Its a pity because I'm sure there are many ordinary decent people out there who would love to welcome the queen.

The use of the words "scum" and "muppet" are rampant in this thread - yet no mod action? I must have been a special case.
