I have the Canon 55 - 250 F4 - 5.6 is.
I think its a superb lens. Very sharp and I got it after reading some reviews which reckoned it was one of Canon's best consumer len's. It also has image stabilezer. You can get it for between €249 and €299. You could also look at the Canon 75-300 for €199 (non IS) or the USM version for about €300.
