My mum is living in Athlone at the mo.
She's quite stylish and very pretty but is devastated with her hair.

It's grey and no matter what hairdresser shes gone too in the last few months, her colour has come out terribly.

Does anyone know any exceptional hairdressers that are good with grey hair?

    Preferably in the west.

    Cheers

The last time she went to a hairdresser it was in Roscommon town, she was advised to go to 'aphrodites'

She got a full colour & highlights but it looks like she of nothing only a splatter of comb in highlights. To be honest he hair even straight after washing just looks really dirty :(

The hairdresser charged her €80-€90 & told her she couldn't help it but that my mums hair was too porous?! Or maybe not porous(I have no knowledge of hair terms!) enough?! And it just wouldn't take colour very well.

I can't understand it because my mother in law is even greyer than my mum & her hair is dyed a gorgeous chestnut brown(she lives in London)

It's really affecting her confidence coz it makes her look ten years older than she is!

So your help will be very much appreciated.
