transfer app to iTunes

    Hey,

    I have an app on my 3GS and i'm upgrading to the iPhone 4. Everything is going smoothly except for a few apps.

    For some reason they aren't anywhere to be found in my iTunes media. They are in iTunes with an exclamation mark

    Does anyone know if they are on my phone can they be transfered back to iTunes? I already tried "transfer purchases" but since they weren't purchased on the iPhone that doesn't work. They were free apps anyhow.

    I can't re-download the app because it's gone from the app store (on was VLC player)

    Any help, greatly appreciated!
