Hotpoint Sump Pump Hose

    Hi,

The Hotpoint Aquarius model wma31 washing machine has been leaking a bit. I checked all the hoses and connections and eventually I determined it was leaking from the bottom and inside there's a small black hose that I think is the sump pump hose which has a small leak.

So I figure, this will be easy, just get a new hose and replace it. But Hotpoint doesn't want to make life for their customers easy, they want to squeeze more money out of them. I searched the web for the part, but i haven't been able to find the right part so I called Hotpoint, but they don't sell the hose on it's own and I'll have to buy a full sump pump kit to get the hose for €55. All I need is a hose that should only cost about €3, €12 max but no! What is also frustrating is this seems to be a relatively common problem since the hose gets a lot of wear from the machine vibrating, but Hotpoint won't sell me the hose on it's own.

This seems like a pretty basic hose, but because of the spinning of the drum and all I'm afraid of putting just any hose in there, but i refuse to pay €55 when all I need is a €3 hose. Can anyone recommend where I can purchase a spurious hose that should do the job?

    Hi Billy,

Thanks for your post. I called Quinn's this morning, they were very helpful, but they too only sell the full kit and not the hose on it's own. I may see if I can replace the hose with a generic hose, since I don't want to pay over €50 for a 5 inch piece of hose.
