Apologies if this has been asked previously, I've tried the search on here as well as Google for my answer to what I am about to ask.

Is there power sockets available in standard class on the Enterprise like on the 22000s?

Second carriage from the loco theres an area for disability access (DVT end) with single and fold up seat. Socket against the wall behind single seat.

Only the new 22000 trains(DMUs) have power sockets at all seats! The old Mark4 and DeDeitrich trains are restricted to one or two sockets for cleaning/maintenance.

Which is why the 22Ks should be operating the line now, so that a carriage refit programme can be undertaken to put in mods like this. One can understand why the DDs don't have a lot of spare power to give for phones etc. even if there were sockets since it all comes from the engine HEP inverter at present (unless the EGVs have FINALLY been deployed?)

Depends on the phone, if you are using an IPhone or similar with the USB compatible charging plug you can add a USB M to F extension piece. You should pick these up for less than €10 at most PC suppliers.

How will this allow charging on the Enterprise?

OP wants to charge his phone on the Enterprise. How will USB adapters help?

I don't use the train much (I'm travelling up North to collect my new car) and it was more out of curiousity than anything else.

Thanks a million for the advice though :)

They don't even have power sockets in first class

One end plugs into the phone, where does the other end plug into on the Enterprise?

There are no mains sockets on the Enterprise, so something like that is no use.

There is if you are willing to look for it. How do you expect cleaning staff to vacuum it.

Bring a car battery and a 220v inverter socket, It should easily last the trip. :p

There's one socket, which you've already mentioned. His normal mains charger will work in that?

Sorry, I just don't understand how telling the OP to get a USB M to F extension piece will making charging from that one single socket any easier.

There is a very good chance that all seats local to that one single socket will be taken.

Better advice would have been to tell the OP to buy an extension lead, preferably long enough to go through a few carriages. That or just to forget it altogether. USB M to F adapters won't solve the problem, which is lack of availability.

I think RTTH means that you can plug your charger into the socket at the wheelchair bay and then use the USB extension lead to allow you to sit elsewhere by extending the "range" of your charger with the extension lead.
