Can are one offer the pros and cons of these tablets. I know:

    - Asus runs Android 3.0
    - Have heard the screen and touch sensitivity on the Archos is not great
    - Asus faster than Archos
    - Asus more expensive

I like the Asus but it is worth the extra €s

Complicated. I don't have the Asus. I've a Xoom though. So I'll try to keep it to bits that would be relevant for both.
I did have an Archos 101.

    The major differences are

The Archos is a lot cheaper. If that's your most important criteria then Archos wins.

It has a full USB slot which I found handy. Most Honeycomb tablets have a mini USB port which is annoying. But then again it's Android so I can FTP to my tablet, browse to it on a web browser, stream over the network so I don't miss it much. Obviously all of that works on Archos too.

Android 3.1 is very stable and quick. I was happy with V3 with no speed issues at all. The 3.1 update makes some changes that it feels quicker still. It flys.
This would be also due to the faster processors. I found everything worked "only OK" on the Archos. It was all fine but I didn't use the tablet much because it was niggly. I use the Xoom every day now.

The screen on the Archos 101 is poor. For video it's fine. For reading it's OK. It's hard to quantify. If you hold an Archos 101 beside an iPad or Android 3 device you'll know what I mean in a second.

Most apps work fine on Honeycomb but there are a few that don't scale well or don't work at all. For me I've had about 5 apps with this problem (out of loads). I only had one app that didn't work at all and the other apps that don't scale properly are speedtest and couple of utilities that work fine in the small screen anyway. If your app doesn't work in Honeycomb then that's a dealbreaker. However, obviously this issue will go away pretty soon as more and more users get Honeycomb.

For the price the Archos 101 is great and you'll be happy with it. If you have the extra money I think the newer tablets are worth it.

Then the Asus has a keyboard dock which might be important / handy for you, it doubles the battery if you get that. It's not too important for me but it's a plus point if you'll use that feature.
