If you go to IrishRail.ie and click on the Fares button on the left and then on Intercity fares, it brings you to this page which says that Limerick to Dublin is between €10.00 and €29.00 for an off-peak single ticket booked online or by phone or €47.00/€50.00 for a single ticket booked at the station.

If you want to book online, you can find the exact price you'll pay. On the front page of IrishRail.ie, enter in your journey details, click Search, select a ticket for each leg of your journey and at the bottom of the page, click the 'Check Price' button.

If you're able to book it on the internet far enough in advance there's now 10 euro single tickets for every train
