Self catering Mayo

    Hi,
    We are trying to plan a self catering holiday with our 19 month old son.We would like to go to a family friendly place with playground and swimming pool available or close by and local to restaurants and shops.Any ideas?

    Sounds like you should be looking around Westport and its hinterland for your holiday.

    Westport, Louisburg areas are definitely suitable.

    Achill is nice, a slightly longer drive, not sure about swimming pool?

    Belmullet too is lovely spot.

    no swimming pool in achill nearest one is mulranny hotel. thats despite all the property tax breaks a few years back all we got was loads of holiday homes. :mad:

    I can recommend the Mulranny holiday homes, they are about 5 mins walk from the hotel and you can get a non resident pass to use the pool and gym.

    The blue flag beaches are also not far a way.

    We've got small kids and have stayed there 3 years in a row.
