Yup as Absurdum says, it will arrive in a plain brown envelope with a sticker on the front with your name and address written in your own hand writing, standard An Post mail, no signature.

Just had mine sent out few days ago.

    Don't worry.
I went there, filled the form to change address and add categories that I'm entitled to but I didn't have (M and W).
Had to leave my current licence there - even I need it.
Waited for 1.5 months, until I got a letter with licence.
New address was there, but mentioned categories - not.
I called them, but I was told by a lady there, that she thinks, that I'm not entitled to category M, and even I'm entitled to category W it was just forgotten.

    Complete joke IMHO.

I applied for a provisional A renewal 6 weeks ago and still no sign of the darn thing. I have a a full test coming up in two weeks time - I wonder if they would accept the little slip from the county council saying 'renewal applied'? (I have a full type B already as well).

Can you not go to the tax office and pick it up in person? I couldnt be bothered with waiting for them to send it and all that meself. Mine did arrive by ordinary post with a 55c stamp the one time I had one posted to me, always collect if I can

I didn't know you could collect in person? I applied in person at the local tax office, and they said they are sending it off to Shannon or wherever, and there's some delay so expect it to come back in 6 weeks.

I applied in my local tax office and it was sent out straight away - got it the next day. I'd get in touch with them to make sure it wasn't lost in the post.

It was the local tax office I handed it into. They posted it to shannon. Maybe mines different as I'm exchanging a licence from the UK to an irish one.
