In every species we have two genders including in our human species. But why? Why, two genders, why not three, what is it within the cycle of nature that carries out this process?

What is a man, is he defined as been a man alone going by physical characteristics? What is a woman, is she only a woman because she is not a man? It is easy to just say that he's a man and she's a woman, but deep down, what does it really mean?
