Assault outcome

Hi i was wondering if somebody could shed some light on this....

I am up in court the end of the month for Section 3 assault (causing harm) I am stressing out over the outcome whether i will have a record and whether it will effect me going travelling next yr.

What happened was about 7 months ago in a night club i got into a fight with a girl bearing in mind she attacked me first she jumped from the dancefloor under the a bar to me, i had a bottle in my hand which i was drinking but in the middle of it the two of us fell to the ground and my bottle smashed cutting her ankles, Guards got called and i was arrested she called herself an ambulance and turns out she got hurt on her ankles, she is charging me with assault even tho she jumped for me first... has anybody been in a similiar situation and what has been the outcome? im worried this could effect me going away and even the thoughts of paying compensation to her is killing the fact she jumped on me first, i kept saying you will see in the CCTV that she jumped on me and now that it has come back they said it was too dark and crowded.... Arghhhhh!! so frustrating,
if anyone has any helpful advice it will be much appreciated :)

Best advice - get a good solicitor and get professional legal advice.

Yeah go get yourself a good Solicitor, and a barrister may not be bad idea too. If you get a conviction for it you will find traveling difficult to some countries

Will do, should know more after meeting with a solicitor, just very frustrating the fact she hit first, was wondering if anybody was in a similiar situation and what there outcome was!!!
