Can anyone recommend a sprayer for quad? I want to get a sparyer with boom.

Is it best to put boom on the hitch? I had one before and it never really worked was always falling down and banging off the ground, drove me mad. I think it was because the boom was too heavy. It was 3m wide is that just too wide?

    Any advice would be helpful
    Thanks

have a sprayer and boom from ebay, to be honest the sprayer and and lance is very handy but i dont bother much with the boom, only suitable for v small areas, you wouldnt be out in the field when tank is empty when boom is running..mine attaches onto grid behind seat but as you say its slips a bit unless you really squeeze it up

I have about 15acres in total, do you really think it would be better to do that by hand? Or is the quad just not a appropriate for the job?
    Thanks

Think about a weed licker rather than a quad sprayer if you want to do it yourself. You'll be weeks with the quad sprayer and it will break your heart.

    What are you spraying? Rushes?

I spray a bit of rushes for neighbours with the tractor sprayer. Its a 600l sprayer and a full tank can cover approximately 5 acres of rushes (depending on how heavy or light they are and how rough or smooth the ground is - on rough ground you have to drive a lot slower). I usually charge €60 per tank to put it on and the farmer supplies the spray.

€180 could clear your 15 acres in 2 hours!!
