Shower Unit Sizes

Just looking at shower units and the different types etc.
My bathrooms for the en suites are 1750 wide and 1725 wide.
A decent shower tray and unit has to be about 800 x 800.
What I'm wondering is do people think I'll have the space for pivot doors.
Both my shower units have sinks across from them.
So you're looking at 800 size shower, 500 of a door opening according to spec and that leaves 425 or 450 for the sink and space to get into the shower.
Am I looking a bit stuck for room to be using pivot doors?
I'm looking at pivot, corner entry or quadrant style units.
Have people any particular types they'd recommend?

This question is very open and really its like asking for a length of string. It would really need to be assesed by a plumber or bathroom fitter. Sorry

You can only aswer these questions yourself

However an 800 is considerd small a 900 is the min for a tray considered to have space. Here is a rough idea of doors and sizes

    760 x 760 Bifold Pivot corner entry
    800
    900
    900 x 800 Not corner entry
    1000 x 760 Not corner entry
    1000 x 800

    800 Quad
    900 Quad
    900 x 800 Quad
    1000 x 800 Quad

A basin is 450 / 500 or 550 in standard size however you can get 300 but they are very small

I spoke to the plumber and he has recommended 900 square as 800 is small but that I won't have room for the pivot door.
I've looked at siliding door but its more expensive so I'm thinking corner entry. Would 900 be enough or could I try and sneak up to 1000?

My rule would be to fit the biggest you can. A 900 corner entry is a good size. They usually display 900's in showrooms. Try it out for size,

Bear in mind you loose a little room if the shower is not concealed eg T90

1000 might be pushing it out a bit. The plumber suggested 900.
