Redundancy in cases where a company has been bought

Hi there, I may be looking at redundancy shortly and I wanted to know how far back my entitlement will go - I began working with Company X in 2001, it was bought over in 2006, I assume my entitlement will go back as far as 2001 - but I'm not sure. Any ideas? Thanks

A transfer of undertakings preserves years of service so your entitlement should go all the way back to 2001.
