Knee Strengthening Exercises

    Hi All,

    **not looking for medical advice**

over the past 4-5 weeks I've been suffering with a post-run ache in the back of my left knee& at the top of my calf area. The best way I can describe it is that my left knee feels weaker than my right (it feels that way during the run as well). It comes about after any run I do at the moment to varying degrees - less signifcant after 5k race...more after 8 mile slow run.

I'm reducing the amount of miles I do in an effort to get rid but would also like to strengthen my knees to avoid a recurrence. Are there any exercises that can be done relatively easy in the home that may help?

I have some weights, dumbells and a barbell also if they are needed.

    Thanks
    gs.
