why are some of thise catchy sign up pages impossible to pass?

    Some of those stupid things ask you to input a phrase, I tried to sign up to one there but I couldn't after 10 attempts. I think I entered the phrase correctly, but apparently not. I entered the exact right letters and numbers, but maybe I needed to enter capitals?? But there was no obvious upper and lower case letters and went I tried that it didn't work.

    It was the same before with rapidshare, it had an extremely complicated phrase, it was like about 10 letters doing dances around each other. WTF? These things are supposed to sign people up, not turn them away.

    When you sign up to Boards one of the phrases is 'Disco'. Then the next one is 'Biscuits'.

    One of the Admins obviously has a shady past.

    I'll agree that they can be annoying, but they're unfortunately necessary. Usually there's a 'refresh' button beside the window that you can use to bring up a different captcha, I generally find myself clicking that on average 4-5 times before I find one I can easily decipher.
