Not sure if this has been posted before but it's an absolute sniff at just over €54 with free delivery. Already have the 1TB version but just ordered this as well. It's not portable i.e. power supply needs to be plugged in but it doesn't bother me.

The price hasn't changed much for a couple of months iirc. I had it in my basket for a long time but it was always out of stock before. Don't think it'll change soon, but they might run out of stock again.

    Don't forget pixmania's postage of 16€

Yup jamesd is right. With the delivery charge, it will bring the total up to almost 80 quid. At that price, you might as well order from amazon instead for only a euro or so more. I'd pick amazon over pixmania any day of the week ;)

Ordered a blu-ray player and camera from them before and both came from Dublin.

    Ordered tuesday, arrived today.
Postmark on the box says Dublin so i would imagine they have a warehouse in Dublin.

Started this thread but still no sign of my order getting dispatched :o

At this rate, everybody else is going to receive theirs before I do  Will most likely have to wait until next week, uuuuuuuuuuugh

    Received mine today.

    Got mine today. :D

No problem formatting it to FAT32 either, last one I got (same but 2TB model) was a lot more awkward.

Got mine today, thanks to OP.

I know that this is a technical question in a consumer thread but it's about the product in question.
Why format the HD when it works fine from the box? What are the benefits of formatting to FAT32 i.e. what is FAT32?

    Thanks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,345 ✭✭✭jamescd

Some devices only recognise a FAT32 formatted hard drive i.e. PS3. If your just using it for storing files from your PC then it should be alright to use straight out of the box.

Sometimes I look at threads and I see your username on it. Then I think, I don't remember posting on that thread

Can get quite confusing at times :P
