    Thanks guys.

Yeah, that's what we (myself and the missus) thought. Looks nice and good location, and we want to bring the kids to Newgrange which is close-by.

Will post a review if we go!

basically €8 per adult per night.....no charge for kids

    Sounds excellent value for money

We stayed there when we went to the Rolling Stones concert in 2006. Nice place and was very convenient for us for the concert. They usually just have a small area for camping but when we were there they opened up a large field at the back. Very friendly owners.

    Hi folks,

Just to follow up on this thread. We spent two nights at Slane Farm Hostel a couple of weekends ago. It was 8 euro per adult and kids were free. The owners were very friendly and relaxed. One of our boys helped with feeding the chickens, and was rewarded with two fresh eggs. He was delighted.

As it is a hostel, there is a big kitchen and games room in the house/hostel that we could use. Also, campers have their own smaller kitchen, toilets and showers located at the back of the property, where the campervans and tents park and pitch.

We spun out to Newgrange on the Saturday morning, which was fantastic (I didn't realise we were allowed inside the tomb!). There are plenty of other interesting things to see in the area, and this campsite is well situated to be used as a base to check these things out. Even though the weather wasn't great, we still had a great weekend and would definitely go back again.
