    Hi Guys
I'm looking to open a cafe in the capital, however I have researched this and cannot find a list of licenses required for a cafe.
I'm just wondering if there is anyone with experience of opening their own business or GK on the subject who would know these licenses.
    Thanks
    RA

You don't need any licences as such. However, there are plenty of regulations that you have to know about and deal with. Planning, hygiene and liquor licensing are the obvious ones, but there are loads of other little ones like grease traps.

Running a cafe in Dublin these days is a big deal. It's not cheap and you can burn an awful lot of money awful fast, and not end up with very much to show. You will need to get good advice, or a partner if you don't know the ropes yourself.
